New Orleans, Louisiana
Of course, you know that New Orleans is a popular destination in spring, but have you considered checking out Big Easy come fall? In addition to a multitude of gay bars open at all hours and a number of gay-friendly inns, you can partake in food festivals, cool autumn breezes and incredible music. Go ahead and embrace the spooky side of the city for Halloween, or try a turducken po-boy at Mahoney’s. New Orleans is also home to great television and cinema!

Montreal, Canada
How could anyone not fall in love with Montreal? It’s a city known for truly embracing life! Incredible fashion, cuisine, nightlife, LGBT friendly shops, gay bars and art all reside in this city, along with one of North America’s best Gay Pride celebrations, Pride Montreal. But autumn in the city is truly spectacular. That’s when you can also enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage and the annual Gardens of Light festival. After you’ve checked out Montreal’s large outdoor markets, be sure to grab a cup of vintage hot chocolate from Juliette et Chocolat.

Providence, Rhode Island
New England is always a popular destination to see the colorful fall leaves, but Providence is a nice pick that comes with a smaller price tag than Boston, which is less than an hour away. The city is steeped in progressive culture, liberal colleges, fantastic food, and lovely historic neighborhoods. Unlike other New England cities, Providence features gay bathhouses, too.
